COVID Testing for PVE Seniors

PVE-CARES Emergency Support Fund – COVID Testing for Seniors

The PVE Foundation has been requested by the PVE Police Department to establish a fund to support the PVE-CARES program and its outreach to seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The PVE-CARES Emergency Support Fund has been established to immediately address the COVID-19 support of housebound PVE Seniors and dependent adults, as needed. This includes activities such as:

  • Providing virus testing for senior citizens and dependent adults who live in PVE and are unable to get to testing facilities
  • Provide vaccines (as they become available)
  • Provide other monitoring services
  • Consider providing other related testing as available, such as COVID-19 Anti-Body
  • Provide related educational mailings and literature as needed

The program will be administered by PVE-CARES and PVE Police Officers who will deliver COVID testing to the homes of the Seniors who are unable to get to a testing facility. Further, this funding would provide the PVE-CARES program the flexibility to react in a timely manner to future needs created by this pandemic or other like emergencies in the future.

Funds raised for this program, whether utilized for COVID-19 related or other emergency Senior support activities, will be restricted to use of the PVE-CARES Program.
