A local resident group has put together a plan for a walking trail and water-wise natural plantings around the George Allen Field. This will take a neglected parkland in the City and give it a fresh look that will help with controlling weeds, tumbleweeds and dust from this site. It will also provide a usable and beautiful space for our City.
The first Parklands meeting was 5/13/21. The PVE Foundation and the resident group will reconvene to discuss the recommendations of the Parklands Committee and plan to present again before the Parklands Committee in September 2021.
