City Hall Median
The Civic Center area in Malaga Cove houses the City Hall, Police Department, Fire Department and PV Homes Association in one complex. In 2019, the PVE Foundation worked with local landscapers, the Parklands Committee and the City of PVE to create a more beautiful City Median area.
With this being a highly visible area of our community, it was determined that this would be a good first project to introduce the work of the Foundation to the Community. We were proud to accomplish this work during the COVID shutdown and after a long drought. This area now provides provide color, beauty and a drought-friendly solution to this neglected area.
Completed Work
- Designed and installed an environmentally friendly irrigation systems and drought tolerant landscaping
- Restored the original city sign which was created and donated by a local resident
- Consolidated the couple of brown city signs and upgraded the banner posting board
- Provide a solution with anticipation of proposed changes to the traffic flow
- Started project in June 2020, Completed installation January 2021
