Farnham Martin Fountain

The Farnham Martin Fountain is an iconic landmark for our City.  It was built in honor of Farnham B. Martin who “was the superintendent of parks from the beginning and was responsible for the selected variety of trees and shrubbery and growing of the stock in the Project Nursery at Lunada Bay.” He was a beloved member of the community who had contributed to the beauty of the City we enjoy today.1

Farnham Martin Fountain restoration begins in Palos Verdes Estates

The Farnham Martin Fountain is approaching its 100th birthday and is the oldest fountain in our City. This historic fountain has not been running for the past 15 years. However, the Palos Verdes Estates Foundation, along with the City and local professionals, has been testing and analyzing the problems with the fountain.

The diagnostic effort has been completed and we now have a plan to renovate this treasure. The PVE Foundation Board is seeking $100,000 to make this restoration and repair a reality.
